“I Love My Mom So Much”
Medium: Digital Illustration
1 of 1 print
Black frame
2” mat; black frame
This piece started as a crayon drawing by six-year-old Alex and was then redrawn digitally by her mom, Kendra—with lots of creative input from Alex along the way. She chose all the colors, gave feedback throughout the process, and made sure every detail looked just right. The artwork shows a mom and daughter sitting crisscross applesauce and hugging, surrounded by lots of hearts—because, as Alex says, she loves her mom so much! She picked a rainbow color palette because rainbows make her happy, and she wanted the piece to feel just as warm and joyful as their hug.

After participating in the previous auction and seeing their artwork make a difference, Kendra and Alex were excited to contribute again. Alex had been looking forward to another chance to help raise money for CASK gene research through art. She cares deeply about helping other kids, especially those facing health challenges. Beyond their passion for giving back, one of the biggest inspirations for this piece was their own relationship. Kendra and Alex share an incredible bond and loved the idea of creating artwork that reflects that love.
